The Ministry of Water and Environment as the Lead Institution for the Natural Resources, Environment, Climate Change, Land and Water Management Programme (NRECCLWM) has commnenced the coordination of writing the Annual Programme Performance Report (APPR) FY 25/26.
In light of the above, a road map was developed, including training of Focal Point Officers.
On Wednesday, 17th June, 2026, the Under Secretary Finance and Administration officiated at the training workshop for Focal Point Officers nominated to write the APPR. The training was held at Silver Springs Hotel Bugolobi with an aim of equipping the officers with data analysis and report writing skills among others.
The Under Secretary, in her remarks, indicated that the nominated Focal Persons are expected to:
1. Coordinate departmental data collection and reporting.
2. Facilitate internal validation processes.
3. Ensure timely submission of quality reports.
4. Address gaps were identified during the review process.
5. Support implementation of recommendations arising from the reporting exercise.
It is envisioned that the APPR will be presented to all stakeholders during the Programme Review for the NRECCLWM in October 2026.
