Government of Uganda with support from the World Bank has prioritised the implementation of integrated flood risk management activities in R. Nyamwamba catchment Kaseses District to mitigate the impacts of future flooding in the area.

The Republic of Uganda has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Integrated Water Management and Development Project (IWMDP) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Construction of Bitsya water supply and sanitation system

The Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE) with support from the World Bank is implementing the Irrigation for Climate Resilience Project (ICRP). The project objectives are to provide farmers in the project areas with access to irrigation and other agricultural services, and to establish management arrangements for irrigation service delivery.
